iOS Devices users can’t downgrade their firmware to an earlier version which is Jailbreakable. So, The solution is to save your firmware SHSH blobs to be able to downgrade to this version in the future. So, the question is What are SHSH blobs?


What Is SHSH Blob?

 

It’s a Hash Signature System that Apple use to verify your iOS version and prevent downgrading iOS to have a jailbreak.

Why do we have to save SHSH blobs? Why cant we download it?

SHSH blobs is made by an SHSH formula that uses 3 or 4 TSS keys, The iOS device, the firmware version and the device ECID (Exclusive Chip ID). So SHSH blobs is a device specific. It needs to be saved from your device to be used.

How to Save SHSH blobs?

There is a number of firmwares that can save your SHSH blobs. The most famous program is TinyUmbrella and its developed by the well known iOS developer notcom. The current version of TinyUmbrella 5.00.12. If you have saved your SHSH blobs using TinyUmbrella you will be able to trick iTunes into thinking that you are running an Older version of iOS.
