Samsung Droid Charge SCH-I510. For anyone confusing of whats this
version really is? - because Samsung only stated from their report as
Android 2.3, Yes! it's Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread and with a build number
of EP4D.
Samsung already set November 29 as the official date for the release.,
but unfortunately, folks on the Verizon forums are going crazy waiting
because no one has received it yet. It might not came on time but this
will be release out later, it just take some time.
Here's the details on how it improves other things regarding in hardware
and software when upgrading to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread firmware.
- Improved word selection and Copy/Paste functionality.
- Updated Download Manager app – from where you can manage all of your
downloads from web browsing, email attachments and other apps.
- New widgets, icons and screens with refreshed colors.
- Added device and SD card encryption; VPN enhancements integrate IPSec VPN clients into device security settings.
- Updated Calendar options – ability to display event times in your home time zone when traveling; Dismiss individual reminders.
- Pause, Wait and Password have been added into the voicemail speed dial entry for manual entry/storage.
- Increased intensity of the vibration alert.
- Added Software Upgrade Assistant (SUA).
- Reduced volume of the Low Battery Notification sound has been reduced.
