Siri, I Never Knew You Could Rap! [Notorious B.I.G.'s Hypnotize]

Believe it or not, Siri can rap Notorious B.I.G.’s Hypnotize song thanks to the very useful SiriProxy hack. During the Music Hack Day 2011 in London, one developer could hack Siri so it rap the song. Siri succeeded and did it well, watch the video after the break.

There has been a lot of cool Siri hacks recently, that have allowed you to control your whole house to your car. This is all thanks to a custom Siri proxy server developed by @Plamoni. This custom Siri proxy server makes it easy for developers to do just about anything they can put their mind to.
This is why in Music Hack Day 2011, which took place in London, one participant decided to hack Siri to rap to Notorious B.I.G.’s Hypnotize song. Now, in case you are not aware of what Music Hack Day is, it is basically an event that happens once a year where hundreds of developers get together and create something music related. If you would like to take a look at Siri’s attempt at “rapping,” you can watch the YouTube video embedded below:

If you are interested in how this Siri music hack works, you can read the video’s description below: SiriProxy is used to intercept the communication with Apple’s servers. Based on your song request, Notorious Siri then sends your choice of Notorious B.I.G.’s Hypnotize and an a-cappella rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody to the device (the latter requiring 4 iPhones 4S). Siri’s speech synthesis is synced to the beat using the timestamps obtained from the Echonest API which were then manually tweaked, to smooth out delays in the text-to-speech engine. Let us know what you think of Siri’s ability to rap in the comments section below…
